burst up from the ground,
little leaf!
put your face toward the Sun
radiant Heat
bring your life-blood
strengthen within
rise up to the sky
reach higher, so high!
let your roots not be moved
you are stronger now
winds cannot break you
you are unshakable.
i wrote this little poem today.
i woke up this morning with the first line in my head.
(i am that little leaf, by the way.)
