the fruit of my hands in 2012

I thought it would be fun to look back over the past year and show you some of my favorite things that I made with my hands. I also included a link to each of the original blog posts. Here's a favorite thing that I made from each month in 2012. Enjoy!

JANUARY
{garland of hearts for my parent's 50th anniversary}

FEBRUARY
{homemade applesauce}

MARCH
{let mercy reign}

APRIL
{tea for two}

MAY
{peace be still}

 JUNE
{fresh blackberry cobbler}

JULY
{psalm one}

AUGUST
{My Song to You}
(you can watch the video here)
I'm really making myself vulnerable with this one - be kind! :)

SEPTEMBER
{vintage patchwork baby quilt}

OCTOBER
{open your hands}

NOVEMBER
{looking up}

DECEMBER
{silver leaf earrings}

***************************************

2012 was a really difficult year for me.
But tonight, as I looked back through all of these things that I made, I realized something:

So often, creativity comes from the desert place.

So, even though it was a hard year, God used all the hardships to make me stronger and inspire me to create more and be intentional about finding beauty in the little things. :)

  2. What you said about 2012 being a hard year reminded me of this verse from Song of Solomon 4:16: "Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread about. Let my lover come into his garden and taste its choice fruit. - Even though a cold north wind (trials) or a warm south wind comes, both winds produce a lovely perfume in our lives for our bridegroom!
