a ring to remember to pray for him

After the women's conference, I had some extra spending money. Usually, I just buy diapers and bread and milk with the extra money from conferences. But, this time, I decided to splurge and have a little ring made from this great etsy shop. I really wanted something made by hand. And I wanted something simple, sparkly and most of all, in Clint's birthstone. He was born in December, so his birthstone is blue topaz. I thought it would be neat to have a ring in his birthstone to remind myself to pray for him whenever I look at it. :)

Isn't it pretty? I love it.
You can't really tell in the photographs, but the band is hammered sterling.

The ring came at the perfect time, too, because...

Clint is on his way to Israel today!

He is one of the chaperones for the senior class trip.  He'll be there with about 10 students and 3 adults. It is going to be so wonderful! They are going to visit all of the major places in the Holy Land that are mentioned in the Bible. He's even going on a boat road on the Sea of Galilee! I gotta admit - I am pretty jealous! I wish I could go with him! It's going to be a life-changing trip for all of them! I would love your prayers for his trip.

I know God is going to speak to him majorly while he is there!

I have already shed a few tears today since he left this morning. I miss him already! I am so so happy for him though. What a blessing and a wonderful opportunity!

My sweet parents are coming up to help me with the kids while he is away.
I am so grateful! We're going to have lots of fun.

As I am typing, I am looking at my little sparkly blue ring. And I am reminded yet again to offer up prayers and thanks to God for giving me such an amazing husband. :)

  1. Hey Lora!
I don't know where to start! That ring is absolutely beautiful . . . what a neat way to lead yourself into prayer! I'm really intrigued by the idea of prayer beads or some sort of jewelry that represents our loved ones that we want to pray for. That ring is so special . . . I'm inspired!
And how awesome is it that Clint gets to go to Israel! I sure wish you could go too- but God knows those deep desires of our hearts, so watch out!- you may be there some day too! :)
So glad to hear you'll have some help while he's away. I love that your family rallies around you so often. That's God's love speaking loud and clear!
