keep on the sunny side

I had a rough day today - been feeling low. Clint let me sleep in and made everyone waffles for breakfast. And when I came down, he brought me waffles and coffee on a tray while I rested on the couch. And then, he cleaned while I took a nap this afternoon. I am so thankful for him. He is such a caring husband. While I was downstairs eating my breakfast, the sounds of bluegrass filled the kitchen. This is one of the songs that he played.  A good reminder...

While I was resting upstairs in my room after lunch, I read a passage of the Joyce Meyer book "New Day, New You" that really spoke to me:

"We have to let God take us through things and let Him work in us so our mess becomes our message.  Difficult things that we have endured in our past prepare us for God's blessings in our future."

I hope that passage encourages you, too. Whatever you're going through, God sees and He cares.

  2. I love Joyce Meyer, she has a knack for telling it how it is. Hope you're feeling happier now and all is well. I too have Hubby who is a gift from God.
