happy saturday

Hope y'all are having a lovely weekend so far. I took Ruth out thrift shopping with me today. We had a great time! She was so sweet and wanted to pick out toys for Joseph and Ruth. I love how she is always thinking of ways to bless others.

The other night, I went to tuck her in and found her reading her Bible out loud in her bed. Made my heart melt! She is becoming such a beautiful little lady!! It is precious!

And I wanted to share a sweet story about Joseph, too. A few days ago, I went to pick him up from preschool. He just started on Tuesday. The teachers pulled me aside and told me they wanted to share something with me. They told me that while the class was on the playground that day, a little girl had fallen and hurt her knee. Joseph ran over to them and asked them if he could go pray for her! So, they walked him over to her and they told me that his prayer for the girl was so precious.  Ahhh, my heart! I am so thankful that my children are starting to walk in the ways of the Lord. That brings me so much joy!!

So often as mothers, especially of young children, we wonder if any of the things we have poured into them are taking root. Having these amazing things happen all in one week has encouraged me so much as a mother. I am so thankful that I am starting to see fruit in their lives! It's just the beginning of their journey closer to the heart of the Father!! :)

  1. Lora, one sure way to instill the ways of God into our children is to have a genuine walk ourselves...they are watching and determining what is real and what is not. I can see from what you have shared here that you are showing them a true walk and they are imitating you! So awesome!!

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.Hebrews 13:7

God's blessings on your family! <3

  2. What a blessing!

We teach and reach our children and grandchildren in all that we do.

Yesterday as my grandson and I were roller blading we talked about Jesus and God and heaven. My grandson said "G-ma, I knew Jesus died for my sins before I ever went to church." I said "you did?" He said " Yes. You know who taught me that?" I asked "Who" He said "You did! You always told me that when I was a little boy"

What a blessing. He still hears it now, but the fact that he remembered and heard it when he was playing and still a toddler... wow!

    Have a blessed Sunday
