a God-moment in Build-A-Bear

I wanted to take a minute and share a sweet story about my Ruth. We had two ladies come and stay with us for five days so they could go to the New Year's Conference at our church. And Ruth had to give up her bedroom while they were here so they could have their own bedrooms. She was such a good sport about it! I know it was hard for her because she got sick during their stay and wanted to be in her own bed, but she kept a good attitude through it all. I was really proud of her.

She just started feeling better today and I took her to Build-a-Bear to let her get a new stuffed animal. She picked out this little pink snowflake bear. Doesn't she look so happy in this photo?

I had enough money with me to also buy a little outfit for Snowflake (that's the name she gave her), but Ruth really wanted to get a bear for Joseph. She told me that she didn't need a dress for her bear and that she wanted to get Joseph a bear instead. Isn't that just precious? It made me so happy. What a sweet, giving spirit God has given her!

The whole ride home she kept talking about how excited she was to surprise Joseph with his new bear! It gave me a great opportunity to share with her about the blessing of giving.

Here's Joseph with his new teddy bear that his sister made for him!

  3. That is so very sweet! My little grands are the same way. They can be selfish, but they sure don't want the other one to be left out.
