prom!

One of the perks of being married to a high school teacher is that I get to go to prom every year. :)

We went last night, and had a wonderful evening! Here's some photos.

my new dress!
I found it at JC Penney a few days ago for only $34.00.
isn't it cute?

my hot date

We went out to get a bite to eat before the prom. The weather was absolutely perfect so we sat on the patio.  It was so romantic!

The restaurant was on the second floor of this neat little shopping area, so we were sitting way up high and it was so fun to look out above everything. The wind was blowing, the sun was shining on our faces. Amazing!

Right after Clint took this photo of me, he looked at me a long time, and then very seriously said,
"Lora, you are so pretty. Really. Your eyes, your hair, just everything."

Wow. I melted!

Love this one!
Do you see my beautiful antique necklace? It was my grandmother's. I love it so much.

The students did a fabulous job decorating the space for the prom. (It was at a country club).
They were all so cute! Such sweet kids. They requested the ABBA song "Dancing Queen" for Clint. He always plays ABBA in his classroom. They had him come up and dance with them. And then they asked me to come up and Clint and I danced to the song in front of all of them. It was so fun! They gave us a big round of applause afterward. :)

I am so proud of Clint. Watching him last night with his students, it was really evident how loved he is by those kids. He is definitely in the right job. God has truly called him to be a teacher!

It was a really great night! Now, I'm looking forward to my birthday on Monday! I'll be 38. Wow.

Hoping and praying that this new year of my life will be sweet.

  1. Aww.... I loved this Lora! You looked beautiful for sure! So funny... You go to prom every year and I've never been to one ever. It's ok though. I've managed to have a productive fulfilled life in spite of my depravity! Lol 😉

I bet the kids loved seeing y'all dance! So fun!!
